Sarah has energy, enthusiam and a desire to simply act...
Acting has always been a passion of mine, and something I have always wanted to pursue, but real life kept getting in the way! Now in at least 100+ podcasts in a huge variety of roles, I would love to continue to enjoy learning and utilising more of my range and continue to work with such cool innovative creatives.
Before pursuing voice acting, I was - still am - a drama teacher, a kids club entertainer, a production co-ordinator for a producing healthcare video company, an education co-ordinator for a touring theatre company, a community theatre director, actor, and have written several podcast series, all currently in various stages of production.
From Jan 2018 I am rather excitedly represented as a voice actor by SQUAWK VOICES - you can find the link to my agents page here.
I won an Audioverse Award for supporting actress in Oak Podcast as Camellia in 2017, and was a finalist as Lizzie in Wynabego Warrior in 2016, and am listed In the 2019 audio verse awards, nominated for the Moonologue sessions as writer and actor with my brilliant team, and as Lead Actor in Astral Queen, penned by the Brilliant Paul Spencer, and Co-Produced with Eli Mcilveen of Alba Salix and more!I've won awards with Fiona Thraille at the New Jersey WEBFEST for Best Chemistry in ROSA KRANZ AND GILDA STERN AREN'T DEAD 2021. In 2022, The same show was a finalist in the RADIO DRAMA AWARDS, and I've been part of award winning shows like Secret of St Kilda (Bess, Elder Eli) and Silt Verses (Acantha),
In 2017 I started to co-host The Audio Drama Production Podcast with the wonderful Fiona Thraille - an interview show looking at improving and developing the craft of making audio drama. Fiona left to resume her producing career in Sept 2017 and Sarah hosted alone, editing on audacity and handing to her editor Anne-Marie Luff from Sept - Dec, and to Austin Beach or Tanja Milojevic to be mastered and made ready for publication by Matthew Boudreau of AURAL STAGE STUDIOS.
I got to interview some of my AUDIO DRAMA heroes, held 3 VIRTUAL PUB SESSIONS with Fred Greenhalgh, KC Wayland and Lauren Shippen, and thought up, promoted and developed The ADPP Script Writing Competition in association with Audio Drama Network. This culminated in Producing and Directing the performance of 3 winning scripts at London's Vault Festival 2018. Find all funksome episodes here.
As a result of work done with ADPP, Sarah spoke on podcast panels at The PODCAST FEST 2017 at Kings Place, and Goldsmiths University, and is very happy to come and speak to your students or audio drama makers and fans about her journey and the current excitement to be had in audio drama.
ADPP was a finalist in THE PARSEC AWARDS 2017. HURRAYS!
